This is what my saturday has consisted of - laundry. I got a little behind this week, can you tell? I'm finally caught up on all the kids clothes and their towels. Now I get to start on my clothes, joy.

Lost Tooth
Ostin lost his tooth last night. No, I mean he really lost it! He was eating and it came out. He says that he spit it out, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I even got down on the floor with a flashlight. I went through everything left on his plate and squeezed his napkin between my fingers to see if I felt anything hard, no luck. We had a small crises about what to do about the tooth fairy and decided to write him or her a note. Then we forgot to write the note. All was good though, the tooth fairy came anyway. Ostin has decided that Santa wrote a note for the tooth fairy and that is why he still got something for a tooth that wasn't there.

Homework
So we had today off for teacher planning day. Which means Ostin's homework for the week was supposed to have been turned in yesterday. When we went to leave yesterday afternoon for Caitlin's dance classses I saw Ostin's homework folder sitting on the dining room table. Sigh. So his homework will be turned in on Monday. Sorry Mrs. Crosby, but it was finished on time :). And as a side note, I made the kids clean off all the papers that were on the dining room table. One of these days I have the hopes of being organized!

Overheard
A conversation between Caleb and Ostin on the way to the airport today. Ostin found a happy meal toy still in it's plastic and decided to open it up.
Ostin: Look!
Caleb: What does it do?
Ostin: I don't know, I haven't read the constructions yet.
I have to admit I was laughing too hard to correct him, so it fell to Chad to teach him the correct word.

Happy MLK Day!
I hope everyone has had a good day. Chad has been home this weekend! We have had a great time. It all ends tomorrow though. I have had some extra time while he has been here. Which is how I am able to do this posting tonight. He is now giving the boys their showers.
So as an update to my past week:
And tomorrow we start back to school and Chad goes back to Virginia. I hate to see the weekend end.
- Trying to get the last of the Christmas stuff down. (Almost finished)
- Trip to the eye doctor after Ostin got a piece of hard plastic stuck in his eye overnight. (He's fine now. He only had a few superficial surface scratches. The amazing eye has wonderful self healing properties!)
- Picked Chad up at the airport at midnight on Friday night. (Thank you Sarah for staying at the house with my sleeping angels. You can't see my sarcasm, but it's there.)
- We got two miniature frogs on Saturday. (The kids love them. And I admit, I like them, too.)
- We went downtown to the Museum of Contemporary Art on Sunday. (We had a great time. We will go again.)
- Today was a nice lazy day.
And tomorrow we start back to school and Chad goes back to Virginia. I hate to see the weekend end.

Broke Stuff
I used to sing the kids to sleep every night. I don't do that much anymore. They all go to sleep at different times and the time leading up to lights out for the older ones are spent reading. Tonight though Ostin asked if I could sing him the song about broken stuff. He had me stumped for a minute until I realized he wanted me to sing him Hush Little Baby. I will from now on call it the Broken Stuff Song.

Girl Cousins
Here is a picture of Caitlin and the girls. I thought this was such a cute picture of the three of them. Alyssa is smiling in almost all of the other pictures except this one. But Emilia is hardly smiling in any of the others and I really like her smile in this one.
Christmas Pictures
